Today the Indianapolis Star which is a conservative Republican paper and the largest in the state made endorsements in all of the 9 congressional districts in Indiana. There are currently 7 GOP and 2 Dems. The Star endorsed the two Dem incumbents but also endorsed two Dem challengers against incumbent GOP congressmen. They endorsed Joe Donnelly in IN-2 and Brad Ellsworth in IN-8. This is totally out of character for this paper. Baron Hill in IN-9 was not endorsed but is leading in all polls although by slim margins in some.
